TOOLS FOR ACOUSTIC GUITARS

Acoustic Guitar Tech Kit

The most common setup need on acoustic guitars is the truss rod but adjustment nuts aren't necessarily easy to get to, particularly if accessed through the sound hole. Central to our Acoustic Guitar Tech Kit is a clever locking bit driver that allows for quick interchange of bits, with special bits for both sound hole and headstock truss rod adjustment. Also included are tech kit staples such as thickness gauge and capo for relief measurement, screwdriver bits, string winder, our highly-rated GrooveTech String Cutters, precision ruler, and a telescopic mirror in case you need to have a look inside remote cavities of the body. Our Easy Setup Guide walks you through the basic setup process to keep your guitar in top playing shape. GTATC1, $59.95 (USA MAP)

GrooveTech String Change Kit

The most-used items in any guitarist’s arsenal are string winders and string cutters, so we combined our venerable string cutters and winder into one package. GrooveTech String Cutters set the high bar for capability from a diminutive 120mm form-factor, and our simple yet highly functional string winders get the job done without any fuss. Winder includes a pin puller for your acoustic. Who knows, maybe you'll even start looking forward to string changes! GTSCKIT1$14.95 (USA MAP)

GrooveTech String Cutters

Guitar and bass strings are made of hardened stainless steel or nickel with thicknesses as high as 3mm. Ordinary diagonal cutters are designed for soft copper and as a result fail miserably when used on strings. GrooveTech String Cutters were developed specifically for this application, using a proprietary heat-treatment process. Despite its compact five-inch length, even “B” bass strings cut easily and dented blades will be a thing of the past. Vinyl grips feel great in your hands. GTSC1, $11.95 (USA MAP)

Sound Hole Truss Rod Drivers

Acoustic guitar truss rods need adjustment just like electrics, but manufacturers sure don't make it easy. Access is typically through the sound hole, sometimes through a brace to an unseen nuts. Our wrenches allow quick access to nuts on most makes and models of acoustics, with a precision ball-end tip for easy fit, extra length on both segments of the blade, and an oversized handle for confidence when making adjustments. Professional-grade. GTAW4 (4mm - fits most brands); GTAW5 (5mm - primarily Martin), $11.95 (USA MAP)
